Dale Hawkins (August 22, 1936 - February 14, 2010)

Rockabilly legend Dale Hawkins passed away at 73 yesterday after battling colon cancer. His 1957 hit "Susie Q," was covered by both Creedence Clearwater Revival and the Rolling Stones. On a personal note I named my first motorcycle after the song. He will be missed.

There are few things that make me as homesick for my hometown of Tucson, Arizona as the Supersuckers. To say the Supersuckers are my favorite band would be an understatement. So it didn't take much convincing for me to venture out into the cold to catch Eddie Spaghetti, lead singer of The Greatest Rock 'n Roll Band in the World." True to form, he didn't disappoint.
